Tabla

 
 
Tabla is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. I had crab cakes there and I really liked it. Their crab cakes had Indian twist. More like croquet. It got potato and curry in it. I think sweetness of crab and spiciness of curry are really well matched. I tried to recreate Tabla's crab cake and the result was acceptable, if not great success. It is always fun to make something new.

Sides are usual cucumber and seaweed salad( my mother's favorite) and spinatch with fluffy egg.

  1. Next time I will use Idaho potato not Yucon gold and add more crab meat.
